Connecting People...Transforming Lives

Vacation Bible School

What If My Child Cannot Attend All Five Days?
If your child is unable to attend all five days of VBS, he or she is still welcome to attend any days that he or she is able.  We regularly have children who attend all week as well as some who only are able to attend one day.

How Do I Know My Child Is Safe?
Bethsalem Baptist Church, its staff, and its members make child safety a priority at every event and activity.  We strive to create and maintain an environment that is conducive to a child's well-being not only physically, but spiritually, mentally and emotionally as well.

One way that Bethsalem seeks to ensure safety is through its use of matching "name tags" and "ID tags."  Each child, upon his or her arrival at VBS, will be issued a name tag displaying a specific identification number.  The parent/ guardian of that child is also issued a card with a matching identification number.  At noon, when the parent (or designated adult) arrives to pick up the child, the parent must present the correct identification card to the child's teacher before the teacher will allow the adult to take the child.  This may seem to be a hassle, but we want to make certain that we strive for excellence in proving to parents and to our community that Bethsalem Baptist Church cares for its families and children.

In the event of inclement weather, Bethsalem Baptist Church will move all of its activities indoors for the day.  Should situations arise deemed unsafe, the church will take proper measure to ensure the safety of every child and person on campus.
