Children & Preschool Ministries

We have a growing Children and Preschool Ministry here at Bethsalem. Our kids are growing spiritually and in number. Our goal is for them to have fun as they learn the truth of God’s Word. We offer many opportunities for them to grow spiritually and meet new friends. At Bethsalem, we say our kids are great because we believe they are great! It is so important that our children understand their importance to our church and to the kingdom of God. Whether it is through Sunday School, activities, children’s camp, Vacation Bible School or other events, we want them to know they are special to us and to God.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

We have Bible study classes for Birth through sixth grade. These groups enjoy a Bible

story, crafts, singing,

activities and times of prayer each Sunday morning in a safe and familiar environment. They learn to listen and share and develop friendships with other children their age. Our ministry seeks to prepare a child for continued growth, physically, mentally, socially, and most of all spiritually. All the fun starts at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday!

WORSHIP

Nursery/Extended Care is offered every Sunday morning beginning @ 10:30 a.m. and Sunday Nights beginning at 5:50 p.m.

Children’s Church meets every Sunday morning during the 10:45 worship

service in Room 107. They are already in the room from Sunday School so you don’t have to move them and they are always in a familiar environment. Children’s church gives our children an opportunity to Worship Kidstyle!!”. They have a blast where they sing songs, hear Bible stories, have crafts, and a snack. This is children ages 3-5

Junior Church meets 1st, 3rd & 5th Sunday mornings during the 10:45 worship service. The kids come to the sanctuary with their parents and then leave during the offertory hymn. This gives our kids an opportunity to have church and Worship Kidstyle!! (Watch the worship guide for the Sundays children’s church meets) This is for children ages Kindergarten - 3rd grade.

Bible Pals, Bible Friends & Bible Buddies is for our children from age 2 through the 3rd

grade. They meet on

Sunday nights at 5 p.m. It gives our children a chance to learn bible skills in a fun, non-competitive format. This year they will learn the New Testament books of the Bible, 6 verses, information about key passages and fun information about each book all reinforced by music, activities, and games.

Bible Drill is for our 4th through 6th graders. It is a fun and challenging time of learning the

Books of the Bible, locating key passages, and memorizing verses all in a fun way. They have the opportunity to participate in a church drill, associational drill and even advance to the state level of competition.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Our children love to sing and we have a awesome time of singing, music activities and preparing to sing in worship

several times throughout the year. We have a younger children's choir for children 4 years old-1st grade and an older children's choir for 2nd-6th grade. The choir meets every Wednesday in the Fall and Spring at 6:45 p.m. They are just beginning their Spring program music. Preschool & Children's Choir have an emphasis on learning more about God and how to praise Him. The younger choirs emphasize music experiences and fundamental musical concepts such as high/low, loud/soft, steady beat and how music affects us emotionally. Second through Sixth Grade choir emphasize fundamental musical concepts with instruction in musical notes, rhythms, musical terms, reading music, and leading in worship. Children learn songs from many resources as they are experiencing fun activities. Approximately three-four times a year, each age group has opportunities to share their songs and experiences as they lead in worship during the year. These opportunities and engaging activities will make singing a pleasant experience for years to come. Musicals Night: Sunday, December 19th @ 6 p.m.

MISSIONS

Mission Friends for boys and girls (ages 4-kindergarten) meet on Wednesday Nights in the summer @ 6:45 during prayer meeting or mission nights for adults. They have a great time playing and learning about our missionaries.

We also have RA’s (Royal Ambassadors) which is for boys and the GA’s (Girls in Action) which is for girls (ages 1st-6th grade) meet on Wednesday Nights in the summer@ 6:45. They have a great time as they learn about

missionaries all over the world, have games, activities and mission projects.
